Chef Robert Libunao - Spicy Dong feng Shrimps w/ Honey


Ingredients:

  • Large white shrimps, trim the antennas (3 pieces)
  • Soy Sauce (3 tbsp)
  • Oyster Sauce (2 tbsp)
  • Knorr Shrimp Cube(1 cube)
  • Orange Juice (1/4 Cups)
  • Star Anise (2 peices)
  • Finely Chopped Fresh Garlic (10 Cloves)
  • Salt (1 pinch/1 teaspoon)
  • Pepper (1 pinch/1 teaspoon)
  • Brown Sugar (2 tbsp)
  • Corn Oil (2 tbsp)
  • Spring Onion (1 tbsp)
  • Corn Starch diluted in water (1.5 tbsp)
  • Serving Size : 1 serving
    Preparation Time :0:50 min
    Chef Libunao Dong feng Shrimps
    • Mix all liquid ingredients including Star Anise and Garlic
      * * * NOTE - Do not add Corn Starch till later in cooking
    • Marinate Shrimp in mixture for 10 min
    • Remove Shrimp from maninade and set marinade aside for later
    • Pan fry Shrimp in sauce pan with light coat of Corn / Olive Oil
    • Pour marinade in separate hot sauce pan and boil
    • Add Corn starch mixture to marinade as needed until creamy
    • Remove both Shrimp and Marinade from heat and start plating
    • PLace Shrimp on plate first pointing each other and drissle marinade on shrimp and serve
