Chef Robert Libunao - Chicken Shantung


Ingredients:

  • Whole Chicken (1/2 of the Chicken)
  • Soy Sauce (1/2 Cup)
  • Oyster Sauce (1/2 Cup)
  • Knorr Seasoning (1/3 Cup)
  • Brown Sugar (2 Cups - Adjust to personnal taste)
  • Star Anise (5 peices)
  • Finely Chopped Fresh Garlic (10 Cloves)
  • Salt (1 pinch/1 teaspoon)
  • Pepper (1 pinch/1 teaspoon)
  • Chicken Cubes (1 cube)
  • Water for Simmering and Sauce
  • Serving Size : 2-3 pax
    Preparation Time :0:55 min
    English Instructions:

  • Mix all the ingredients together except for the chicken half
  • Mix throughly and adjust sweetness of mixture
  • Add 1 cup of water to imerse the chicken for marination
  • After 30 min of marination, bring mixture to a boil
  • Keep an eye on the Chicken to not overcook or it will fall appart
  • Remove Chicken from sauce and let rest/air dry for 10 min
  • Have a sauce pan heated with olive oil to pan fry and sear the chicken
  • Place Chicken on a plate with rice and use the marinade to drissle over the chicken

  • Pag Halu-Haluin ang maga ingredients pero whag isama ang manok
  • Kailangan tanchahin ang tamis na gusto ninyo sa sauce
  • Haluan nang isang tasang tubig para i babad ang manok
  • Pagkatapos nang 30 min pakuluan ang lahat nang sangkap
  • Bantayan mabuti ang manok para hindi masyadong maluto
  • Alisin ang manok sa marinade at pa pahingahin nang 10 min
  • Lagay ang manok sa isang mainit na kaldero na may olive oil para i prito ang labas
  • I lagay ang pritong manok sa plato tabi nang kanin at buhus ang konteng marinate
